Imagine Health is filming in Harlem! In partnership with the NYU Emergency Medical Department and the NIH, we're working with a series of popular barber shops to connect with African American males and better understand their thoughts on organ donation in America. We'll develop a series of intimate short documentary films that aim to spark African American males to engage with the healthcare system, help raise donor rates and ultimately improve matching statistics for African Americans on the waiting list for organs. The films will be shown in DMVs nation-wide alongside a substantial online campaign and partnerships with organ donor networks around the country.
Harlem is home to some of the country's most loved barbers and their shops. We are working with Denny Moes Superstar Barbershop, ShoNuff Barbershop in Central Harlem and Jay's. We have a team there a couple times a week until Fall. Come visit!
